The Université Côte d'Azur (UCA) is a research university based on a solid ecosystem of higher education institutions and research institutes (Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur, CNRS, INRIA, etc.) that:

        - Welcomes more than 30,000 students

        - More than 4,000 people are engaged in research in Class A or A +laboratories

        - Based on 493 active research and training partnerships

        - Has solid experience in managing European projects (more than 100) and national projects.

        - Received 76 national and 48 international research awards.

        - Accounting for 113 active patents and 37 licenses

In recent years, UCA has changed its structure to a dynamic and flexible organization to meet the needs of society and better prepare young scientists and professionals for a changing world. UCA's current university model is based on interdisciplinary collaboration, a pilot model for coordinating research, learning, and innovation, and strong and sustainable partnerships with private sector organizations and local decision makers. To realize this collaboration and increase the flow of knowledge into their ecosystem, the UCA participants, who form the foundation of the university, are closely linked: 5 academies of excellence, 8 doctoral schools, which creates a continuous flow between training and research.

The Master's degree in Health Engineering is based on the application of risk analysis and management to health processes (care processes and related service processes). The majors cover a wide range of topics, including aging, clinical research, and pedagogy. The first year is shared by 7 of the 8 majors. Biomedical shares certain units in M1 and M2 (project management, quality management) with other majors, but remains specific with courses in Computer science, Electronics, and Biophysics. The Master's degree is closed to research topics developed by participants or the RETINES Lab research unit.

In recent years, the innovative approach developed by UCA has been rewarded with various grants received at the national level (IDEX Grant, 3IA grant).

At the European level, the research excellence of the UCA ecosystem is also recognized by several ERC grants and Marie S. Curie projects, including the CoFund program. Our research community has also participated as coordinators or partners in several Pillar 2 H2020 projects. UCA is also very active in the Erasmus+ program through capacity-building projects, strategic partnership projects, and international mobility projects.
